THE PERIDOT LAMPS
WITH RUPERT MERTON
The Peridot Lamp collection was born out of the Studio's long-standing relationship with ceramicist Rupert Merton. Sarah Peake had an odd idea one day, that Rupert was willing to test out - lamps constructed out of different shaped ceramic objects, each one hand thrown and totally unique. Rupert ran with the concept, experimenting with lots of different shapes. Sarah and Rupert then met in Rupert's studio to decide on the combinations of the various objects and how they should be glazed.
The result is a series of beautiful bespoke pieces, each a variation on a theme but each a singular work of art, evoking the magic of the potter's wheel.
